- Avoid Risking all Family Resources on Personal Goals, as this can lead to disagreements, resentment, and lack of support.
- Be Patient and Supportive of Each Other - Achieving family goals requires teamwork. Be open to learning from each other and addressing gaps where one partner can offer expertise to help the other grow.
- Don’t Undermine Your Spouse’s Weaknesses - Assess your relationship as you would a business SWOT analysis—identify and strengthen areas where your spouse may be weaker. Recognize each other's strengths and weaknesses and work to balance and enhance each other.
