Kereisia Brown-Lyesam is a multi-talented Jamaican entrepreneur, business consultant, educator, empowerment speaker, life coach, and professional development specialist. She is the CEO of BeConsistent365 Training and Management Consultants, a company that provides training and consulting services to help organizations achieve their goals. In her capacity as the former Head of School for Hospitality and Tourism at a community college, she oversees the department's operations and teaches business administration and hospitality and tourism management courses.
She is also the founder of the EmpowHER2 Succeed Movement, which works through webinars, conferences and coaching sessions to empower and inspire other women to reach their full potential in their faith, purpose, family and relationships, health and wellness, and business.
Kereisia was born to teenage parents who were unable to raise her due to financial, relationship, and emotional issues. As a result, her loving, uneducated but skilled grandparents raised her and her older brother, as well as their eight children, with limited resources. Poverty, self-doubt and limitations, her father's early death and loss of inheritance, unemployment, battling glaucoma, and hardship caused by witchcraft all made life difficult. Self-doubt sorted to imprison her identity while attending William Knibb Memorial High, when the question of her importance surfaced to challenge her right to existence but with God's help, gained confidence, determination and survival skills, she was able to overcome these obstacles to achieve success.
Kereisia's life experiences shaped her psychological belief that, “Poverty, second only to sin, is a powerful weapon against humanity.” Kereisia has been destroying the weapon of poverty in her life through constant belief in Jeremiah 29:11 in the Bible, which states, "For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Based on her encounters, when asked how you overcame poverty; she responded that I used faith in God, the scriptures, and education to overcome poverty and succeed. She used her business acumen to create a business in order to meet her educational needs and defies the odds when told you can’t be successful, to pursue a teaching certificate at The Mico University College and a Bachelor's and Master's degree in business administration from the University of Technology, Jamaica. Her ambition is to earn a doctorate in business administration and organize program initiatives to assist the less fortunate to realize their dreams.
Kereisia Brown-Lyesam gives God the glory for her accomplishments. She believes that the foundation of her faith grown from age fifteen at Deliverance Tabernacle Church, as a lay minister, and praise and worship moderator, in the Parish of Trelawny, Jamaica, motivated her to work towards fulfilling her God-given potential. She has one child and is married to her skillful and entrepreneurial husband who loves and adores her. Considering that she lost three quarters of her blood during childbirth, she feels that God spared her life because He wants her to be the one to raise her son in fear of Him. She is now prepared to assist others in realizing their divine potential.
Kereisia Brown-Lyesam believes that your purpose will show you the way to true success.
